Band of Strangers - 2008

Over 75 Auckland secondary school students were on stage at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane on Saturday 24th May for the Band Of Strangers concert. It was part of World Visions 40HourLive event and was also supported by The Lion Foundation.

The Band Of Strangers Concert is in its 3rd year, rocked the house and the enthusiastic crowd of 1,000 loved it this time as part of the World Vision 40HourLive event. Students were members of Dave Gibsons Band, Elemeno P, or the Black Seeds band with Barnaby Weir.

Auditions were held just prior to the event at the fantastic York Street Studios in Parnell. The show also features stars from the Play It Strange Secondary Schools Songwriting Competition performing with bands including Elemeno P and Luck (Jordan Lucks band) and Late 80s Mercedes.
