It's going to be okay this time
I'm coming home
Sick of all those city lights
Sleeping in a cold bed by the phone
Been travelling through that long black tunnel
Re-emerging into the light
Not believing everyone will fall for me
In my glass slippers curfew set for midnight
Midnight

It's going to be alright this time
I'm coming home
Evoked among familiar faces
And the sound of a trombone
And in the presence of the night
It's all different by myself
I can hear the breathing of the fireplace
No longer in a cold bed by myself

Home

You can count the seconds in my time
But I'm home
Home and I'll be fine

There ain't nothing else I need
Just the warm familiar faces standing next to me
There ain't no where else I'd rather be
In the warmth and company
Of friends and family

Home
Home and your can count the seconds in my time
But I'm home
Home and I'll be fine

I promise I'll listen this time
I'm coming home
You can tell me about the moon or mars
I promise I won't moan
About all the irrelevant things
Sometimes they become interesting
I just want to hear your voice
Not in writing or on the phone

Home and you can count the seconds in my time
Home and I'll be fine

Because I'm home
