Welcome dear music teacher
SongNet is a website for secondary school students to use in the exploration of and their upskilling in the craft of songwriting.
The first thing you need to know is — it’s FREE! It doesn't cost anybody anything!
The website has numerous features for students to use:
- Song Studio for professional mentoring of their songs
- Forums for students discussions on songwriting subjects
- Ask An Expert — for probing the minds of successful professional songwriters
- Share A Song — where students get to listen to, rate and comment on each others songs.
- Resources — a database of great songwriting websites, books etc etc.
To subscribe your school to SongNet all you need to do is email info@songnet.co.nz and ask for your school to be subscribed. You will then be sent a username and password to give you as a teacher, access to the site. From there you can subscribe at your discretion, students from your school.
It’s very easy.
